HELPING FAMILIES WITH MEDICAL CRISES

Doreen Elizabeth Grace was diagnosed in December, 1974 with a rare and deadly virus of the brain - herpes simplex encephalitis.  Doreen died on March 5, 1976. Doreen's family - her father Dick, her mother Eleanor, and her brother Richard - opened The Brain Center in April 1987.

The Brain Center is dedicated to helping families with medical crises related to neurological and psychiatric diseases, including brain trauma.

"With Doreen, we were always searching for information", explains Dick Grace.  "At The Brain Center, we've tried to centralize everything for the layman. If people need help, we talk with them, we make calls for them, and we try to put them together with the right people (medical or otherwise)  - all on a one-to-one basis."
